a word from Pastor Dave....December 20, 2005 Woooooo hooooo what a day it has been today. I got on this website call myspace.com, its a community that you can have all the friends on, and its also used by alot of independent musicians to promote their music. I started to use it to promote my ministry in June 2005 and it has been very interesting. Some of the content on other sites can be questionable, but I thought it might be something I could use to get the ministry out there. I guess God had a different plan.
I started getting messages from people asking: are you a real minister?, are you a real pastor?, I would just respond, yeah I am for real. Then they would start asking me all the questions about God, Satan, Suicide, Sex, Death and so on. I got a message from this girl in Jefferson, NC two weeks ago. She was telling me that she was very unhappy with her life and could I please just share with her what is life really suppose to be about. Her parents did not really encourage her and they really didn't support her in anything she did. She felt that what ever she did, it seemed it was always the wrong thing and they were never pleased with her. I continued to encourage her and then asked where she was from and if she went to church. She said that her family was from India and she was Hindu. I asked her if it would be ok to meet with her because I wanted to speak with her and make sure she was understanding my message. I asked her to meet me at a friend's church (Friendship Baptist church) with a mutual friend that she had with me, Brittany. Brittany rededicated her life back to the Lord when I spoke there on August the 14th of 2005, so I asked Brittany if she would please be there with me as I shared with Roxi, and she said yes.
I ask you to please Keep Roxi and Brittany in prayer as they grow in the faith and relationship with Christ. Roxi will be faced with a lot since her parents are devoted Hindu believers. Pray that through the life of Roxi living for Christ that she can shine the true light of Christ to her parents and other family members. Thank you so much for your time and for allowing me to be able to do what I love so much. Love you all very much! Pastor Dave Soesbee
