a word from Pastor Dave....March 23, 2004

Hey just got back from doing a Youth Revival in Calabash, NC at Beulah Baptist Church. God did some amazing things during the revival. Thursday I got down there in time for a dinner at the church. I had a chance to mingle with the people and one lady and I started talking. She had just gotten home from being in Las Vegas "Sin City" while living there for the past 7 years. Everything I said she debated and said that she had a different opinion and I asked her if her opinion was backed up with God's word. I went to the beach house I was staying in on Ocean Isles (thanks to Wendy and Ed Davis) and started praying for Jennifer. Her sister Donna gave her heart back to Christ and wanted to get back on track with Christ Saturday night.

On Sunday morning I shared about "what's your excuse"; what are your excuses that get in the way of serving Christ to the fullest or even just giving your life to Him. When I did the altar call, hands were going up all over and the lady that keep debating me raised her hand and wanted to give her life back to Christ, I got emotional myself and thanked the Lord for answering my prayer. Please keep Jennifer in prayer because she has quit her job. Jennifer worked at a Golf course and one of the things she had to do was sell alcohol. She said that she could not do something that did not help the cause of Christ nor did it bring glory to Him either. You go girl!

There were several that came to know the Lord for the first time and many rededicated there lives back to Christ during the three day revival. It was an awesome time and I came to love and make many new friends at Beulah Baptist Church.

Please Keep this Church in prayer as many told me that was the first time they had that many people make decisions in the past 5 years put together and they are also in search of a pastor.

Thank you so much Father for coming and showing up and for using this little mountain boy from Asheville as a tool to enrich the Kingdom of Christ. Thanks for you and your prayers. If there is anything Touch Ministries can do for you please give me a holla!!! Peace to you all.
