a
word from pastor dave while out with See Spot
Rock March 10, 2003
WOW, it's
been awhile since I have shared with you. Ok I will try my best to get
you up to date. Christmas was great. I spent it at home with my wife
and there was no traveling at all, but Christmas night I left for Atlanta
because the weather was getting bad and I was to leave the next morning
for Branson, MO. Branson was great with over 4000 teens in attendance.
The concerts were great and so was the speaking. There were about 700
plus that came forward for first time commitment or rededicating their
life back to Christ.
Then back on the bus for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, TN for the rest
of the conferences. With all six of the conferences there was over 26,000
kids in attendance and I am not sure what the total commitment were
but it was a lot.
January I took off with only a few dates here and there, no over nighters.
I wanted to be able to spend it with my wife because I had been away
from home for a total of about 7 half months altogether. It was a great
time with my bride. February kicking off I have been on the road a few
dates with Winter Jam with Newsong, Tait, KJ52, Carmen, Plus One, Natalie
Grant, According to John, and Daily Planet, doing some Bible studies
and just encouraging everyone. I spoke at Anderson Collage to the FCA
with about 21 making a decision, and I spoke at the NHL Nashville Predators
Hockey game, with Grits doing the concert, those guys are great. I never
really had a chance to hang out with them but the time I did spend with
them was good. And thanks to Annie for the
hook up on the Zamboni. I had a chance to ride the Zamboni while
it cleaned the ice.
I then left to meet up with Pillar during the See Spot Rock tour with
Pillar, Reliant K, Sanctus Real, John Rueben, and Supertones. The tour
has been going well and we have been having some good bible studies.
Pillar just signed with a Mainstream label "MCA", which means
bigger opportunities of ministry for the guys so keep them in prayer.
Well that is everything in a nut shell. I mean there is more, but I
don't want to bog everyone down. I have had a lot of hits on the web-site,
and since I put up the Q&A section up I have had some great questions,
and they have challenged me.
This is some of the things to look forward to next year. In April doing
a Crusade in Kenya, Africa, and will be at the Summer Olympics in Athens
Greece during August. I pray that Athens will be as big as Australia
if not bigger. So those are a few things I ask you to please keep in
prayer during the future, plus you can check the events section to see
what is happing for the future of this year. Take care and thanks for
your time. Many blessings to you and your loved ones.
Much Love to you all
In Christ
