a word from Pastor Dave...November 6 , 2006

Well things are moving right alone with the ministry. God just simply amazes me, but I really should not be surprised. I went and spoke at King College Wednesday (11/1/06) and it was a good night. I spoke at FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), it was a good turn out. I challenged the students and had 3 first time decisions and about 30 plus rededication there lives back to the Lord.

I also went back up to Roxboro, NC to speak at the Big Show at Somerset Baptist Church (11/4/06). I arrived and the youth pastor Rusty shared that he really wanted us to pray about at least one person to get saved that night, so me and the drama team, dance team got together and all prayed and we were in agreement together. As we prayed we asked God to use the different groups for the event to be used by God to prick the hearts of those that were coming through the door.  We didn't want it to be a time of entertainment but a time of ministry a time of life change for one or more people.

It was an awesome during the altar call. We had 6 first time decisions and many rededications. The altar was full and to see those broken asking the Lord to touch their lives and to help them get closer to Him was just awesome. I had a chance to talk to one little guy that came forward, he was 8 years old and was asking Jesus to come into his life. His mom was setting beside him during counseling and I said to her, " you have gotten you a new little man tonight" she smiled with tears in her eyes and she said, "yes and he has gotten a new mommy tonight". She had given her life back to the Lord, so it was an awesome night. In fact, any night when your praising the Lord and people's lives are being changed is an awesome night, Amen.

Thanks for your time and thanks for your support of Touch Ministries. If there is anything I can do for you please give me a shout out.

Much love in Christ

Pastor Dave
